"Why should I sail with any of you? Four of you have tried to kill me, and one of you succeeded."
Nov 28 07 9:37 PM
While Red finished up his job, he noticed something peculiar. Where's Rose? He scanned all across the deck, finding her missing from sight.
He began to snoop around, close to the door Eberic had shut and around the perimeter of the ship. Red did indeed wonder if she had clumsily fallen off the
side of the ship, and such thoughts would have worried him. However, would have isn't did. His stoic nature consumed him with thoughts such as She
probably wandered somewhere off the ship and If she did fall off, at least she wouldn't have to go through the troubles you have to deal
with. But Red decided that it was probably best to search for this young girl, for who knows what kind of trouble she'd get into. Besides, Red's
stoic nature didn't reflect a lack of concern-just a placidity.
Meanwhile, Rose, who was childishly fooling around, reached for a peculiar item on the bed. She gazed at this item with a twinkle of curiosity in her eye and
for moments it seemed like she stared at it with a perplexing gaze. I wonder... she thought to herself in a humming voice. The child was so caught
up in this trance that she seemed to lose touch with the outside, even for a brief moment, as she began to feel the item.
"You probably shouldn't be wandering around down here alone, kid."
Rose almost leapt in the air, twisting around with a racing heart and a loud yelp. But she had recognized this face and realized it was no one to fear. It
was of course then Sirrus saw Rose clutching something in her tiny palms, almost attempting to cloak it with her short fingers, though the object was almost
too big for that. "What'd you find...?" She heard Sirrus ask. With her heart finally relieved and calm, she opened her fingers
up and lifted up the item to Sirrus.
In her hands was a key-an old archaic skeleton key-of an interesting color. Its glass blue gleam and transparent body made the whole thing seem like it was
crafted out of crystal; it had slick edges and an interesting row of teeth, almost shaped like a star. At the end, where the key is held, was a flower shape,
colored in florescent, shiny, and transparent hues. The glimmer had attracted Rose, and she was hypnotized by its sparkling colors and the line of gold that
seemed to lace around the key's silhouette. But the colors were not the only thing to snatch her attention. She softly spoke, "Isn't it pretty?
My daddy used to make keys, but he never made any like this."
There was a connection with the key, unrevealed to this young girl's mind, that she would soon discover...
Back on the deck, Red thought that she probably went below deck if anywhere, and that perhaps she had begun exploring what was down there. You better go
find her... So Red made his way down the stairs, passing through the hallways one by one. Before he reached his unknown destination, something lashed out
at his mind with a huanting disturbance.
Be careful where you go, Red. It's only a matter of time...

(enough of this)
Red entered the room Sirrus and Rose were in. Rose was holding up a strange object he could not see due to the position Rose was holding it in. Red entered
when he heard a strange thump from the distance. You hope that was from another source…
Rose jumped into the air and sprinted to Red. "Red! Red! Look what I found!" She lifted her hands and showed him the key that was so
Red's eyes shot open. He quickly closed her hands and turned away. He was unable to look back at her again, in fear of what would happen. Instantly, images
and motions began to flash before him, and just as illusions they blocked his eyes from every other sight. The flashes occurred in only a matter of seconds…but
they appeared to last for an eternity. The laughs, the joy, the smiles, the fear, the shrieks, the tears, the mistakes…All of was relived once more.
It had been almost a decade, perhaps even more, since Red has shed a tear for any reason-a reason that would have driven suicide in most humans
several times over. On his travels, he was mocked, he was beaten, he was feared, he was attacked, he was imprisoned, he was isolated, and he was in agony; yet
never had he shed a tear for any of those. But he sobbed uncontrollably that night many years ago, and now, for the first time in a long time, he began to sob
I can help Red…come to me…
In an instant, Red found himself surrounded by darkness. Everywhere, there was nothing but a pitch black. A chilly feeling draped over his
shoulders, like a blanket, shrouding himself from any comfort. On the ground, he saw a reflection of himself, as clear as day, like a shadow of light amongst a
sea of tar. And below him, on the foundation of his mind, there was a sheet of nothing holding him up. Nothing…nothing indeed.
Orbiting in circles around him, he heard growls and snarls echoing in the distance. Yet intermixed with those sounds was a chorus sung by a sweet harmonic
voice and an army of chirps from the birds of spring. All these sounds were impossible to locate, for they were constantly moving around him, and their echoes
bounced off at every angle in every direction.
He saw a drop of rain hit his shadow, rippling its image. Why…why are you so weak? You can't protect anyone, not even yourself, from the sorrows and
the troubles of the world. Why bother? Why bother dealing with it all? You cannot help anyone…you cannot protect anyone…
Yes…come to me…come to me, my Red…
Slowly, Red began lifting his feet, and little by little he moved forward. As he did, the growls and the snarls grew louder and louder, while the
chirps and singing diminished. But you want to protect others! You want to help! Why can't you? Does it all mean nothing in the end? Does the desire to
protect not compensate for the inability to? Red stepped closer and closer until the bird's song and the chords of harmony vanished in the darkness.
No. You want to protect! You will protect! You will accept nothing less! Red drew his sword quickly and faced the darkness with fierce eyes. But just
as he did, in the distance, a pair of blood-red eyes began to glow with fiery passion. When the eyes opened, Red thought, Back demon! Back fallen angel! If
protection he cannot offer, then forbidden he shall remain!
Red…my Red…you are finally mine!
No! This is his final moments. You will slay him!
But Red, you can't kill what is…truly…immortal!
The demon's true figure came to light and, with a dark, deep, and booming energy, he let a roar rupture from its throat. The wind could have
lifted a house from the ground, but Red stood strong and held his footing.
Back in reality, Red saw the lights orbiting him, but noticed the red light began to slow its pace. Finally, as the green light, Emerald, continued to orbit,
the red light came to a halt in front of him. This red light, Blood, inched towards Red's chest, and as the tears fell from his cheek, the red light was
only centimeters away. And then, finally, it entered Red's chest.
Red fell on the floor, screaming in pain. He cringed and held his skull with such a pressure he could have cracked it. His muscles tightened until an inferno
streaked through his arms, legs, and chest. He rolled around on the floor in the hallway with agony, shouting "BACK DEMON!! BACK!! AWAY!! REPEL!!
RESTRAIN!! FORBID!! FALLEN ANGEL, RESIGN THY EVIL WAYS!! SHATTER THE DARKNESS OF HEART!!"
Then Red's eyes fell into blood-red darkness.

"Draw the sail back? What does he expect me to do? I've only been in navy ships" muttered Evren to himself as he walked
towards what he assumed was the sail in question. He partially limped while clutching the wound on his stomach and managed to get up the masts towards the
sail, "who uses sails these days anyways" muttered Evren and stared at the roping trying to figure out how to make this work.
Weapons he could deal with, but he was never that good at ship maintenance and thus was at a complete loss at what to do. He stared in
vain at the complex knots and pulleys in vain trying to follow them only to completely loose track of them in the tangle of canvas and rope. Eventually out he
gave up on trying to pull up the sails via deduction and tugged on what he though was the right rope only to cause the remaining half of the sail to fall onto
the wooden support with a thump.
"damn it, wrong rope" muttered Evren and climbed back down to see what he can do to correct his mistake. "what the? The
rope has been cut, there's no way I could have raised that sail" said Evren to no one in particular. He climbed down and went to report to Ebric that
rather then have a partial sail throw the ship off balance he lowered the entire thing.
"hmmm? The mainsail hasn't been lowered yet" noted Eva to herself while watching the berserker walk away
from the mast. "That's no good, we can't fly without a mainsail" The vampire whistled and Chizu Zero came tumbling towards
Eva still pouting about her lost prize. "You go over to that side while I get the sail from here" pointed Eva and she proceeded to fly up to the top.
The doll on the other hand pulled out two of her knives and dug right into the mast climbing up the wooden pole.
While waiting for her servant to climb she watched as the sun crawl through the sky taking in the vast blue expanse and just idling in
content ignoring the grisly scene below. Finally the doll got up to the top of the mast and hoisted itself onto the sails. "Alright, on three we both cut
the lines. Ready? One"
"Wait what is she doing?" asked Nagi from the navigational helm.
"Holy crap; she's about to cut the sails! Hey stop! Don't cut the ropes!"
"Thr-Ah!" shouted Eva as a sudden flash blinded her before she could proceed with her ill thought plan.
"Sorry about that" came a voice through the white blindness, "I had to stop you from cutting the sails. Don't cut them,
just untie the third and fifth knots from the mast would work" Eva squinted trying to see who had just blinded her and adverted a disaster but the after
effects of the flash was too great. By the time her eyes had repaired themselves Nagi had already returned to his post. Eva was a bit embaressed at how
careless she had been and quickly undid the knots along with Chizu and flew down.
The vampire made a quick check around the ship passing by the berserker on the way down. The rest of the crew had seemed to be fit
physically, but the one talking to himself under the deck had caused her to worry a bit and made a mental note about his psychological condition. "Lets
see… just the captain left." Eva knocked on the door to the captain's room.
"Sorry to intrude" she said politely while closing the door behind her, "I need to take care of your wounds now"
