Yes! My first char in Full Circle!
i added the class and personal goal b/c I thought that it might help in understanding my char a
bit better. If you want it out, then please tell me
Name: Seil (pronounced "Sail" but keeping the "e" in mind)
Appearance: 5'11" Deep dark brown eyes. Straight (but not thin) black hair. Not too particular with his hair, but makes sure that his hair is not too short nor too long for
decency sake (bangs extend to eyebrows). Tanned skinned (but not burned). Not pointy and not stubby standard sized nose
(xD). Normal sized mouth - likes to smile and laugh. No distinct physical traits. Not massively strong in terms of muscular strength. Decent muscular endurance
that is fueled by mentality.
Weapons of Choice: Shepherd's Staff.
One of Seil's sisters was running an errand when she saw a
large branch that had been washed ashore. She took it home where she carved it into a shepherd's staff. It was given to a brother who worked as a shepherd.
Eventually, it was given to Seil before he left home as another "hand-me-down". (There is nothing "special" about the staff except that it
is very sturdy compared to other staffs.)
Fighting Style: Pencak Silat
Pencak Silat does not utilize attack moves. The fundamental principle of Pencak Silat is subduing the enemy not through applying direct force but through simulating evasive movements and using the inner strength obtained by constant physical and mental training. There are four aspects to Pencak Silat, which are called the musywarah: combat as an artful expression of personal culture, control of the body and spirit, self-defense as the supreme principle, sportsmanship and friendliness. There is a legend that Aminuddin, one of the three brothers who fathered Pencak Silat, was inspired when he saw a fragile flower bending under a waterfall but still firmly resisting. That legend may explain the smooth back and forth movements of Pencak Silat, called the flower dance (which always gives the opponent a chance to retreat).
Also, Seil draws power from the seeds he plants. Ranging anywhere from enhancements to weaponries.
Equipment: Merchant's bag - a large shoulder bag made of canvas, leather and other period materials; contains
numerous small satchels and bags of seeds. Not too particular with clothing, Seil wears "hand-me-down" clothes that he packed in his bag. He is
particular to the hand-sewn coat that he received for his 18th birthday (it took a fortune for his family to gather enough money for the materials).
The coat's design is simple, dark-auburn colored of an interesting material. The texture is as soft as cotton, yet as strong as leather (no secret hidden
power). It is large enough to provide liberal movement and provide warmth on cold days. Straw sandals.
History: Seil is the only one in his family who was directly born in Tarakhe. His parents stumbled into Tarakhe by accident and could find no way back to their world. So Seil's parents started an orphanage, harboring numerous children who also accidentally fell into this world. Although he is related to his parents by blood, Seil was still loved equally amongst and by his many brothers and sisters. To maintain the orphanage, every child naturally found their own trade and fighting technique to fend off poverty, slave traders and boredom. Everyone in the family knew who he or she was before they became joined to this family. To respect that identity, the family decided that they would keep their last names. However, Seil was the only one in his family who had no last name, no identity. Seil found no complaint, but only slight discomfort in wondering who he truly was. He appreciates and is still grateful with all of his heart of what his family taught him. They taught him botany, mathematics, physics, culinary, morals - everything they had acquired they openly shared and became part of Seil. But what Seil was worried about was whether his family members' ambitions were becoming his own, or not. Finally, he opened up the situation to his family, where they all decided a verdict, together. It was agreed that only Seil would have to decide for himself who he was, and what he was to do with the rest of his life. Although they had agreed in some matters and shared the same thoughts, they agreed that taking the same path was a different matter. When someone chooses their path, their choice was in accordance with their identity. Seil now sets out in the world of Tarakhe to find his own identity and path.
Personal Goal: When a flower blooms, it stands despite the tempest and the inevitability of its death. It is able to do this because it knows its identity, therefore surviving to fulfill its function in life. For that reason Seil wishes to find himself in the same manner. To do this, Seil has also decided that he will find every seed there is out there. A seed is inanimate, yet when it is nurtured it grows adamantly with a mission. Then that seed is no longer a seed. Because of his abilities, Seil wants to understand and experience what nature can provide. By extracting everything into seeds of empathy, Seil feels that he may be able to gain a better understanding of himself and the world altogether.
Personality: Amiable yet contemplative. When Seil is alone, or meets a person for the first time he is mostly serene. He loves to be amiable, but has trouble expressing his friendliness. When he speaks, he almost seems lackadaisical, but his sincerity can be sensed in his words and thoughtful actions. Growing up in a large family, Seil loves people. He is easy to trust and forgive. He likes to stay optimistic and seeks to find the goodness in everyone and every situation. When he befriends another, the bond is there forever and he begins to be energetic and open. He wants to think before he acts, but is still vulnerable to react according to emotions. He likes to start what he finishes with thoughtfulness. Although he may be slow, his sincerity yields quality. Seil still wishes to find who he truly is, therefore he I still treading on soft ground.
Powers: Though his abilities are straightforward, they wield numerous variations that are only bound by creativity.
Seil is able to sow any seed into any material. By releasing his ki (inner energy/ life force) into a seed, Seil is able to cause the plant to grow into the material at an amazing rate. How much ki he provides determines the strength of the plant, the rate of its growth, and the rate of how long it will take until its decay. When Seil plants the seed, the seed takes the essence and minerals from the "earth" Seil has planted in. Therefore the seed produces the same plant, but the "earth" determines the composition and condition.
Also, Seil is able to graft seeds together to create a new breed. Grafting does not limit Seil to any number of vessels he can graft; however, the more complex the structure, it requires more time and ki because of the plant's thoughtful nature.
To plant seeds, Seil finds his own seeds by extraction. He is able to extract anything into a seed. Extracting is not limited to plants - Seil can extract elements, weapons even abstract thoughts. However, Seil must first understand the vessel intimately and mutually so that he may plant it with the same love and care it needed to survive in existence.
Miscillaneous: Seil's power is drawn from his inner energy. When there is harsh weather, animals have the ability to hide from it by finding shelter; however, plants are rooted, so they produce phytochemicals - a survival instinct that allows them to survive despite any harsh condition from desert to arctic. In like manner, Seil's strength lies in his perseverance and endurance. Seil's power and speed gradually increases along with the spirit of the plants he fights in accordance with. But just like a flower that blossoms, Seil must also remember that the flower must also wither to produce more flowers.
